About

Empowering Salford's Community

We are a registered charity based in Salford. Our goal is to promote social inclusion for the public benefit among people living in deprived areas of Salford, Greater Manchester. Our focus is on refugees and asylum seekers who face social and economic exclusion. We aim to prevent their social exclusion, address their needs, and help them integrate into society.

Our organization supports refugees and asylum seekers by providing math, employability, and English tuition to assist them in integrating into society and becoming productive citizens. Additionally, we organize workshops, seminars, conferences, and other community activities to address the day-to-day issues faced by our community members.

Current Project

Our Heritage Project

We are currently working on an ongoing project focused on preserving Congolese traditional marriage customs. We held the project launch event on the 27th of August 2023, to announce the commencement of the project. During the event, we invited the young members of our community to participate in the project as volunteers. From those who expressed interest, we selected 10 individuals to take on the roles of project manager, professional artist, and project evaluator.

We advertised the project manager position on various websites, such as jobcentre job plus, reed.co.uk, and linkedin.co.uk, for four weeks. After receiving and reviewing the CVs, we appointed the most suitable candidate as the project manager, professional artist, and project evaluator.
